VM Number¶
VM Number (also called Vipps number or Vipps MobilePay number) is a Vipps MobilePay payment service that lets you accept payments through a dedicated payment number. Your customers pay using the Vipps or MobilePay app—no card reader or separate terminal required.
VM Number supports several ways to get paid:

| Open amount | Your customer enters the amount to pay in the app. | When the total varies (e.g. tips, donations, or custom orders). |
| Shopping basket | You define a catalogue of products with set prices; the customer selects what they want and pays the total. | Menus, price lists, or fixed offerings. |
| Payment Request | You send a payment request directly to the customer in the app (using their phone number). | Online or remote sales where you agree the amount first. |

Get started¶
- Order VM Number in the business portal (same process as other Vipps MobilePay products).
- Set up products and prices (for Shopping basket) in your VM Number configuration.
- Download Get Paid (optional) if you want to use the app to send payment requests or generate QR codes.
